Coach Clint is a graduate of South Charleston High School class of 1993, there he ran track, wrestled and played football in a Championship building program under Head Coach Bryce Casto. “Coach Casto taught us the importance of team sports and how team sports had so many lessons to prepare us for the real world. He always made each one of us understand our role and the importance of giving 100%.” Being involved in sports he learned the importance of fundamental skills, teamwork and team chemistry alone with many other life lessons and wants to pass them on to younger athletes under the direction of Coach Todd Higginbotham.
In 2011 to 2013, Clint got involved in volleyball helping in youth clinics at the YMCA, from 2013-2015 he was the Asst. Coach at the High School level, where he learned under 3 very experienced coaches, 2015-current he entered coaching at the club level coaching high school age teams teaching more advanced skills and currently in 2017 as an assistant coach at the Middle School Level in Putnam County, WV.
Outside of the coaching realm, Clint works in the Training and Development at Toyota Motors Manufacturing where he teaches fundamental skills to all new hires that work there. He has learned that its the basic fundamental skills that separate great athletes from the average/good athletes. Clint also has been involved with helping in the youth ministries at his church, gaining much needed knowledge on the mental aspect of youth. He believes that if a player can take the tools that they are given and use them correctly, that they will be successful in all areas of their lives.
