We are happy to welcome a “new comer”, coach Jaci Newcomer to the Putnam Volleyball Club Family for the 2018 season. Coach Newcomer will be assisting for our new 12U team with their skill development. This will be her 1st year as a coach but Jaci brings a plethora of volleyball knowledge to the court, especial at the setter and hitter positions. She also has a vast knowledge of volleyball offense and defense.
Jaci is a graduate of Nitro High School class of 2016 where she played both basketball and volleyball. She has been involved in volleyball since she was in the 7th grade. Throughout high school she was able to receive Class AAA second team all-state, and first team MSAC all-conference. Her senior year she played travel for Charleston Volleyball Club but had a setback due to a shoulder injury.
She is now a sophomore at Marshall University to get her degree in nursing and currently working at Fat Patty’s to help her get through school. She is eager to start coaching young girls in a sport that she is very passionate about and teach them not only the skills of volleyball but the skills that they need to tackle life.
